DC Studios has just dropped a teaser for Supergirl, giving fans a first glimpse before the full trailer arrives. Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El in this DC Studios superhero film, building on her cameo in Superman earlier this year.
Directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl marks the second feature film released under the James Gunn and Peter Safran leadership at DC Studios.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026. Alongside Alcock in the title role, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Jason Momoa portraying Lobo.
In a September interview, James Gunn praised Alcock highly on The Howard Stern Show, calling her “the best bit of casting I’ve ever done in my entire life” and noting that she is “absolutely stunning in the movie.”
The project adapts Tom King’s 2022 comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, with Bilquis Evely illustrating. Ana Nogueira translated the comic into a screenplay for the big screen. In the source material, Supergirl and a young alien girl named Knolle traverse the galaxy to pursue Krem of the Yellow Hill after he cold-bloodedly murders Knolle’s father.
